Head of Post Trade Treasury

Reporting into the Managing Director, Finance and Head of Tax & Treasury, the Head of Post Trade Treasury is responsible for the complete management of the Treasury function related to TMX’s clearing houses - CDS Clearing and Depository Services Inc. and Canadian Derivatives Clearing Corporation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Centrally oversee the complete investment process of US cash collateral and the daily management of a reverse repo program, including daily contact with the investment manager and ensuring the correct amount of funds are fully invested each day
- Review daily reporting from the investment manager, ensure that mark-to-market is accurate, ensure repo investments are completed per the agreement (including correct products, haircuts, counterparties, and concentration limits)
- Chair, coordinate and provide reporting to a newly established investment committee comprising of both internal and external stakeholders
- Accountable for reporting on investment holdings and performance to the Post Trade Board
- Ensure compliance with collateral eligibility, counterparty exposures limits and ongoing compliance requirements with relevant board approved policies
- Maintain and develop banking relationships with the company’s existing and future banking partners, and develop and maintain on-going relationships with trading counterparties (as applicable)
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining lines of credit to support Post Trade liquidity requirements
- Support the tracking of investment income earned and payable to participants
- Work closely with Post Trade BU Finance Head, Post Trade CFO, Risk management, and CDS/CDCC Operations teams
- Collaborate with other members of Treasury department on key initiatives
- Primary point of contact for Post trade business for treasury matters
- Support treasury aspects of default scenario simulations and other related activities
Must Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Mathematics
- 5-10 years of progressive experience, including 3-5 years of specific treasury and/or front or middle office experience within global markets
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, industry trends and best practices
- Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to undertake research and translate the complex into actionable insights
- Knowledge of REPO markets and products (corporate bonds, treasuries etc.)
- Keen attention to detail, highly accurate
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines
- Motivated team-player
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Self-starter
- CPA/CFA designation an asset
- Ability to multi-task in an efficient and controlled manner
