Now Hiring: Private Swim Instructor (Fixed Location - Northwest Richmond)

Swim Lessons Vancouver is hiring a Private Swim Instructor to join our team at a dedicated pool location in northwest Richmond, near Terra Nova. Unlike our mobile instructors, this position is based at a single residential pool where all lessons will take place.

We offer personalized, private swim instruction to students of all ages and skill levels—focusing on safety, fun, and building lifelong confidence in the water. Lessons are tailored to each student, and instructors are supported with systems that allow them to focus on what they do best: teaching.

Position Details:

- Fixed teaching location (no travel required)
- All lessons held at a single residential pool near Terra Nova
- Flexible schedule within agreed availability

Qualifications:

- Swim for Life Instructor certification (Lifesaving Society)
- Current CPR-C certification
- Current liability insurance through the Lifesaving Society
- Reliable transportation to and from the fixed pool location

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver engaging, customized swim lessons to children and adults at a single pool
- Arrive 5-10 minutes before each session to maintain professionalism
- Ensure student safety at all times by following CPR protocols and pool safety guidelines
- Track and communicate student progress to clients
- Create a positive, confidence-building learning environment

Preferred:

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with families
- Previous experience teaching private or small-group swim lessons
