**Role**:Manager, Mental Health and Community Programs (Full Time 1.0FTE, Permanent)

**Reporting to**: Senior Manager, Quality and Professional Practice

**Description**:
The Manager of Mental Health and Community Programs is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality, patient-centered healthcare services, and managing a multidisciplinary team. In addition, this position provides supervision support to the Guelph FHT Mental Health Counsellors and select programs. This includes postpartum mental health, chronic pain and oversight of the Guelph FHT psychiatry clinic and its daily operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead, mentor, and manage our team of Mental Health Counsellors and administrative staff to deliver high-quality patient-centered care and ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and ethical guidelines
- Manage our Psychiatry clinic and team of Psychiatrists in patient-flow processes, referral triage, waitlist and provision of specialized mental health services
- Oversee implementation and evaluation of wellness workshop programming to promote mental and physical well-being across diverse populations
- Lead mental health program planning and evaluation activities using a population health approach and quality improvement frameworks to meet evolving community needs and foster internal and external partnerships
- Contribute to a collaborative, supportive culture focused on learning, quality and sustainability

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree in Addictions, Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, Nursing, or a related discipline
- Registration with a healthcare regulatory body
- Undergraduate degree in health profession, health sciences, or health administration
- Minimum 5 years clinical experience working with individuals and families requiring mental health services and programs
- Minimum 2 years of management experience
- Excellent knowledge of the Mental Health Act, PHIPA and community mental health resources
- Demonstrated commitment to professional practice standards and evidence-based care
- Working knowledge of quality improvement frameworks (Model for Improvement) and change management principles
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated expertise in meeting and group facilitation
- Proficient use of MS Office Applications
- Experience with digital health technologies including OCEAN eReferral considered an asset
- Familiarity with the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL) LEADS in a Caring Environment framework considered an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Expected hours: 35 per week
