**About our team**

The Studio team at Okta is a growing group within Marketing, composed of creatives, strategists, producers, and marketing managers alike. Our team's focus is to lead the brand, tell powerful stories, and inspire creative excellence.

As a partner to cross-functional teams across all of Okta, we tie our goals to our most important company initiatives, driving towards shared KPIs, strategies, and processes to unify and push the brand and business forward.

**About this role**

Okta is seeking an experienced social media specialist to help tell the Okta story. In this role, you will help drive our organic social media and corporate content strategy - with a strong focus on short-form video, alongside other creative content formats.

You will represent the Okta brand and be the arbiter of our tone and voice down to every word and emoji. You will help develop one-of-a-kind social campaigns and engage with our target audiences. We're working to significantly grow our social presence, and you will be a pivotal part of this expansion.

We work around the world to shape internal and external conversations about Okta, identity, security, and technology innovation. We engage with press, analysts, the public, customers, and employees, and are considered the company spokespeople and content creators. You will play a key role in this growing team and our evolving story.

**What you will do**
- Support Okta's organic social media strategy and presence on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Craft creative video content for Okta's owned social accounts and ensure consistency across our channels.
- Lead community management across Okta's social channels, including proactive engagement, identifying and joining relevant industry conversations, and fostering meaningful dialogue to strengthen brand presence.
- Drive employee and executive engagement on social media by utilizing our employee advocacy tool, developing enablement strategies, creating toolkits, and more.
- Support team operations by maintaining organization, streamlining workflows, and continuously improving internal processes to ensure efficient collaboration and campaign execution.
- Work closely with internal partners to ensure cross-promotional efforts remain on brand.
- Work cross-functionally with global marketing leads to develop regional social media strategies.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and make recommendations for innovative campaigns.
- Consistently set goals, and measure and optimize to reach them.

**What experience you have**
- 2+ years of experience in social media, in-house or at an agency.
- 2+ years of short-form social media video creation, from brainstorm to production to measurement.
- Experience managing the day-to-day operations of social media channels, including content creation, publishing, community management, and analytics.
- Experience with social media publishing, listening, and analytics tools.
- Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams and leadership to develop social media content and campaigns.
- Ability to turn social measurement into insights and create actionable, data-backed reports, compile results, and provide recommendations.
- A creative mindset, with the ability to quickly identify trending topics and know when to engage.
- A strong, clear writing style and voice, with excellent writing and editing skills. Experience writing for social is a must.
- A detail-oriented approach, with the ability to manage multiple, high-profile projects and deliverables.
- BS/BA degree.
- Knowledge of Sprout Social is a plus.
