**Job Title-Prototype Assembler-Afternoons**
**Location
- 135 Dundas Street, Cambridge Ontario CAN N1R 5X1**
**Note that workers will need to be available to train on day shift for several weeks before moving to permanent afternoon shift.**
**Day Shift
- 5:45 am ET-2:15 PM**
**Afternoon Shift
- 2:30-1 AM**
**Description**
- **Role Purpose-**
Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
**RESPONSIBILITIES and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
- Uses mechanical and electrical drawings in addition to other required support documents, i.e., point-to-point, wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings, pick lists and bills of material, Cambridge Specific Procedures and Documented Work Instructions, to assemble and wire across multiple product lines.
- Troubleshoot unusual assembly and/or wiring problems and occasionally make design change recommendations.
- Accurately report task and times in Factory Talk Production Centre (FTPC) related to work orders and Critical to Quality (CTQ's).
- Flexibility and adaptability to assume other roles and support other job families as required.
- May be required to assist, instruct and provide training to other employees. **Participates in activities to increase job knowledge, including required training and certifications, job rotation programs and training and coaching of other employees.**:
- Participate in Behavioral Based Safety Training and contribute to the program. **Participate in LEAN/Six Sigma Training and contribute to and make recommendations for process improvements and LEAN activities.**:
- Performs work in accordance with job -specific training procedures, follows work aids (DWIs, prints etc.,) and produces work that consistently meets quality standards.
- Ensure tasks are conducted in accordance with applicable employment, environmental, health, safety, quality, and legislation and or regulations (federal, provincial, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, etc.), as well as policies and procedures, 5S requirements and standards of business conduct.
- Creates an optimal work environment by establishing and maintaining positive and respectful work relationships.
- All other duties as required and assigned by supervision
**Education-**High School Diploma or GED
**SKILLS**:
- Mechanical aptitude
- Problem solving
- Reading and understanding written instructions, i.e., CSPs and DWIs
- Utilizing a computer to view, log, and/or find appropriate job-related information, i.e., SAP, FTPC
**Accepts Role Requirements-**
- Must be able to lift 351bs
- Meets the requirement of Safety, Attendance and Code of Conduct policies

**Salary**: $15.50-$22.00 per hour
