Position Overview
Reporting to the Production Supervisor and taking direction from the area Lead Hand, the incumbent dumps and sorts soiled linen at stations along the soil sort system according to predetermined categories. The incumbent will also rotate within the soil sort area between dumping soiled linen and sorting soiled linen at various stations as per the rotation schedule.
Experience
Previous related experience in a large institutional or commercial laundry environment required.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
Minimum Grade 10 education, Manitoba Standards, required.

Qualifications and Skills
Must be proficient in speaking, writing and reading English.
Physical Requirements
The incumbent is required to stand, reach, bend, lift, toss, throw and stretch for sustained periods in order to perform tasks designated as Laundry Aide I and II duties.
The incumbent must be able to meet or exceed minimum productivity standards established by WRHA Laundry Operations.
Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT. The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, Golden West Centennial Lodge, Grace Hospital, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Pan Am Clinic, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA corporate programs, and WRHA community health services.
