Worship Leader

**OVERVIEW**:
The Lighthouse Church is a new church in Kitchener-Waterloo and we are committed to fostering an environment where people can experience and grow in their relationship with Jesus. As we lay the foundation for this new ministry, we are seeking a **part-time Worship Vocalist** to join our worship team. This role supports the Worship Leader by harmonizing, helping carry the flow of worship, and creating a strong vocal foundation that invites the congregation into worship. This person should be vocally skilled, team-minded, and spiritually grounded.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- **Sing background vocals** during Sunday worship services and occasional special events
- **Attend weekly worship rehearsals** and come prepared with music and harmonies learned
- **Blend and harmonize** with lead vocals and other team members
- **Engage with the congregation in worship** while maintaining stage presence appropriate to a supporting role
- **Work under the direction of the Worship Leader and Music Director**, remaining flexible and teachable
- **Participate in pre-service prayer** and come spiritually prepared to minister through worship
- **Support the overall spiritual and musical goals** of the worship ministry

**QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS**:

- A personal and growing **relationship with Jesus**:

- Strong vocal ability and experience singing background vocals (live or studio)
- Ability to follow vocal direction and blend with others
- Comfortable with contemporary worship music and harmonies
- Consistent, reliable, and committed to rehearsals and Sunday service schedule
- Willingness to be led and contribute to a team environment
- **Must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check**

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $100.00 per week

Expected hours: 5 - 10 per week

- Evening shift
- Every Weekend
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
