This is a part-time position, **typically 8:15am - 11:45am Monday-Thursday**, during school term only. (Not during Winter/Spring/Summer breaks.

Contract is September 2024 - June 2025.

Potential to pick up On-Call hours, or lead teacher for a couple weeks around Winter Break.

**Job Requirements**

**Skills**:

- Certification (ECEa), training or experience working with preschool-aged students.
- Ability to work effectively with co-workers, students, and society members with diplomacy and professionalism.
- Knowledge of current child development theories and understanding of the theories behind various learning styles.
- Ability to support and respond to different learning styles. Specialized training is an asset.
- Time management skills with ability to be flexible and multitask.
- Ability to understand and follow a lesson plan as set out by the classroom teacher.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to manage a group of preschool-aged students.

**Specialized Knowledge/Education**:

- Early childhood educator diploma or early childhood educator assistant letter.
- Current first aid certificate.
- Current criminal record check

**Compensation**:

- Starting wage 24.39/hr, or higher depending on experience and qualifications.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $24.39 per hour

Expected hours: 3.5 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
