**PERSONAL SUPPORT WORKER**

**Temporary, Full Time, open ended, contract, (2 week notice from both parties).**

**Must be available to work varying shifts, weekends and statutory holidays.**

Maison McCulloch Hospice (MMH) is a Centre of Excellence committed to the collaborative delivery of high-quality hospice palliative care in both official languages. We are expanding and seeking passionate individuals who wish to build their careers in a supportive and vibrant community.

**Necessary**:

- Graduation from an accredited PSW program with valid certification
- Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Physical capability for frequent standing, bending, walking, and lifting
- Completion of LEAP Personal Support Worker or willingness to certify within three months of hire

**Preferred**:

- Level 1 Hospice Palliative Care (HPC) course completion
- Fundamentals of Hospice Palliative Care course (or actively pursuing)
- Recent experience in medical or hospice palliative care
- Bilingualism (English/French), written and verbal, (or willingness to pursue) is an asset

**Other Skills / Abilities**:

- Deep understanding of and commitment to the hospice philosophy of care
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time-management and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively under the direction of an RN or RPN

**SALARY**: Starting at $24.36 (commensurate with experience)
