Brake Press Operator

Stollco Industries has been proving metal manufacturing solutions for over 50 years. Established in 1967 with a headquarters in Port Coquitlam, Stollco manufactures a variety of products for an array of industries. Stollco specializes in utilizing Trumpf Laser cutting machinery and brake press machines to complete jobs as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Stollco is searching for a/an experienced Brake Press Operator for our plant in Port Coquitlam. This position is a day shift Monday to Friday 7:30 am - 4 pm with the occasionally afternoon/evening shift. Operator would be responsible for set-up and operation of Press Brake machine to produce products meeting customer quality requirements.

Job Responsibilities;
- Adhering to safe work procedures for assigned machinery
- Preparing, setting up, and cleaning machines within at start and end of shift, and whenever necessary
- Understands start up and shut down for Press Brake Machines
- Operating machine with confidence, understand machine setup including, programming, reading drawings, bending of parts
- Monitoring operation and performing quality checks, adjusting machinery as necessary
- Troubleshooting machine during operations
- Able to use calipers, measuring tape and hand tools
- Solving problems with critical thinking and attention to detail, notifying manager to process issues
- Working in other departments or performing other duties if required
- Adhering to and understanding all safety policies outlined by Stollco

**Requirements**:

- 2 - 5 years experience as a Press Brake Operator
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Basic computer skills and typing
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to work safely and efficiently
- Attention to detail
- Capable to lifting up to 50 lbs
- Must speak and write English
- Able to work in a team, but also independently
- Strong organizational skills
