**Position**: Carpenter

**Company Description**: S&J Builders Corp specializes in framing new homes, constructing decks, renovating homes, and undertaking commercial carpentry projects. As our company continues to thrive and broaden its horizons, we are seeking talented individuals to become valuable members of our growing team.

**Hours**: 40 hours per week

**Salary**: Salary to be discussed based on experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Framing, installing floor, laying sub-flooring and installing walls and roofing systems.
- Fitting and installing window frames, trim, doors, stairs, molding and hardware.
- Measuring, cutting and joining materials made of wood or wood substitutes.
- Repairing and renovating wooden structures.
- Utilize a range of hand and power tools proficiently to complete tasks efficiently.
- Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
- Collaborate with the team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and project managers to facilitate smooth project progression.
- Moves necessary materials around jobsite as assigned.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring safety protocols are consistently followed. Cleans up worksite debris.

**Requirements and Skills**
- 2 years of experience in commercial or residential carpentry.
- Ability to work in a team environment with customers and other employees.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Must have own transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Specialty tools will be company supplied; you will need to provide your own basic hand tools/tool bag.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 80 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- carpentry: 2 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
