**About Calanah Builders Ltd.**

Calanah Builders is a small volume family owned and operated construction firm providing general contracting, design build and project management services to the commercial and light industrial sectors.

**Qualifications**:

- Journeyman carpenter preferred but will consider apprentice carpenter with extensive experience

**Skills & Competences**:

- Skilled tradesperson with emphasis on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision or in small team setting.
- Ability to read and fully understand project drawings and specifications.
- Ability to manage and complete designated tasks.
- Ability to work alongside other trades on a project site.
- Extensive knowledge of concrete formwork, reinforcing details and other concrete prep.
- Extensive knowledge of wood-frame construction.
- General knowledge of other commercial building systems, such as: Roofing, siding, insulation, drywall and finish carpentry.
- Ability to understand and abide by company safety policies.
- Ability to stand, walk, crouch and kneel for long periods of time as well as lift and carry typical building materials.
- Ability to operate equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
- First aid and CPR are an asset.

**Tools/equipment required**:

- Valid drivers licence
- Own transportation with ability to haul tools & small materials
- Hand/personal tools
- CSA approved steel-toed safety boots and hard hat

**Details**:

- Permanent full-time position.
- 40 hours per week with occasional overtime (at Calanah Builders we value and emphasize a healthy balance between work and family).
