Powder Forming E-pr1-canada

**Preform Operator**
Monday - Friday, 6:00AM - 2:30PM
Note: May need to work other shifts as required based on seniority
$26.69-30.73/hour
Note: Compensation based on experience
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Set up and/or operate at least one of the main work-centers with assistance. Main work-centers include CNC Mills, CNC Lathes (Horizonal & Vertical), Isostatic Press, Monostatic Press, CAM grinding, surface grinding & drilling.
- Measure and inspect finished parts according to blueprint specifications
- Be able to make and handle parts that are free of green chips, flaws, and other attribute defects.
- Operate Multiple machines (CNC plus another) simultaneously.
- Set up and operate (with moderate proficiency) the miscellaneous work-centers independently. Miscellaneous work-centers include the gundrill, manual lathe, tile saws, band saws & centerless grinder.
- Accurately enter production information (good and scrap pieces, order #, powder grade and quantity issued, etc.) in computer without error or issue.
- Be willing to work in other areas of the plant as needed.
- Help keep and maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Report all safety hazards/concerns to the team Lead and/or Supervisor immediately
**Education, Training &/or Experience**:Minimum**
- Grade 12 education.
- 1-2 years of manufacturing experience.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Basic computer experience.
- Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated, with good interpersonal, organization, and teamwork skills.
- 2 years trade or technical certificate (or equivalent)
- 2 years manufacturing experience with CNC equipment
