CNC Brake Press Operator

**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Set up, program and operate press brake machines to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the correct bending processes.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required specifications and standards, using digitial calipers, protractors and height gages.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine morning maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment as needed during the manufacturing process.
**Skills** (mandatory)
- Proficient in advanced math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Familiarity with interpreting blueprints, including tolerances and part orientation in order to make press adjustments and understand final part sizing and fit.
- Experienced in training others on CNC brake presses is a must.
- Self-managed when necessary but able to work with a partner when parts require 2 operators.
- Experienced with programming CNC brake press control panel with corrections.
- Ability to decide on bend orders and part flips, turns and reverse bends.
- Proficient in using industrial hand tools effectively and safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of smart setup principles to enhance productivity and reduce wasted handling and avoid accidents.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment and bending issues efficiently.
- Physically able to handle up to 50 lb parts safely and ergonomically.
- Crane experience a must.
- Good English skills to understand both verbal and written instructions and to be able to train others.
