**QUALIFICATIONS**:High school, formal culinary training, or apprenticeship**
- Minimum of 2-5 years cooking experience in a restaurant/banquet environment
- Ability to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room employees, residents, and guests
- Safe Food Handling Certificate
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food handling
- A clear city, provincial or out of province criminal record check for the vulnerable sector is mandatory
- Current First Aid/CPR certification is required

**QUALITIES**:Excellent ability to multitask**
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, particularly as they relate to older adults
- Must possess a strong work ethics
- A passion for learning and professional growth

**POSITION**: This is a full-time position that requires some flexibility situated in Winnipeg.

**DUTIES AND Cooking on the line, banquets, and outside catering events**
RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure that food products, presentation and plating are of the highest quality and served in a timely manner
- Assure adherence to all standards of food quality, preparation, recipes, and presentation in conjunction with the specifications
- Monitor holding and storage operations, stocking and food rotation, and guarantee food service sanitation standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and company standards
- Create and be part of a positive work environment
- Perform various duties that pertain to this role

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
