London, Canada Generate Upcycle Full time

Generate Upcycle is looking for an Operator to join our team in London, ON Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Operator is responsible for incoming materials, processing material, and monitoring and maintain all equipment at the facility.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate plant equipment including forklifts as required
- Regulate the safe movement of trucks on site to ensure contents are placed in the proper unloading bays
- Manage unloading of truck
- Follow detailed operation protocols and procedures
- Facility maintenance including road maintenance, weigh bridge, site housekeeping
- Record all monitoring controls points in the data logbook, check all control points are recorded
- Perform sample collection
- Adhere to all health and safety policies
- Collect and understand operational data
- Monitor plant performance and trouble shoot operations issues
- Perform sanitation and cleaning of work areas
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Education, Experience and Certifications:

- One (1) to three (3) years' experience working in an agricultural or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with food processing machinery or wastewater treatment preferred
- Experience working with mechanical and electrical systems
- Forklift & front-end loader experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to be a team-player for overall company success.

Physical Requirements:

- Reach (including above the head), bend, climb, push, pull twist, squat, and kneel
- Ability to work in awkward spaces
- Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds frequently.

Work Environment
- Indoors and outdoors, in a plant/warehouse setting; will be exposed to weather extremes, dirt, odor, and high levels of noise.

Pay: $23.10 per hour
