Position Description:

**Legrand **has an exciting opportunity for a
**Material Handler** to join the
**EWS Team** in
**Vaughan,ON**.

**What Will You Do?**

**Role**: Ensures the loading and unloading of materials within the warehouse and handling of materials between the warehouse and manufacturing floor.

**Main Activities**:

- Organization: Logistics
- Main Interface: Internal: Plant Manager, Logistics Manager, Logistics Supervisor, Logistics Lead

**Main Job Duties**:
1. Material Handlers load and unload materials within a warehouse or storage facility utilizing hand truck, forklifts, standups.

2. Assist with cycle count program when needed. Participate in annual full inventory count.

3. Stack Cable Trays onto pallets and install protective devices such as bracing, padding, or strapping to prevent shifting or damage to materials being transported.

4. Perform applicable quality checks and document results.

5. Perform basic maintenance activities.

6. Assist Material Handler II/III in work assignments and coordinate activities of Logistics personnel.

7. Make sure all materials are labeled correctly.

8. Make sure stocking area is clean and organized, free from food, waste, trash and any hazard that may cause injury.

9. Perform other duties as requested by supervisors or management.

10. Must be able to work flexible work schedule.

Qualifications:
**Education**: High School Diploma or equivalent

**Experience**: Two years warehouse general experience is preferred. 1 year of Forklift experience necessary.

**Skills/Knowledge/Abilities**:

- Basic math skills
- Able to perform repetitive job functions, hand mobility, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
- Able to stand the majority of the workday
