**Position**: IT System Administrator Summer Student

**Location**: Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC or Burlington, ON or Edmonton / Calgary, EB or Delta, BC

**Status**: Student position (full-time from May to September), 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday

**What would be your main responsibilities over the Summer ?**:

- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure and servers.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network and server issues to ensure system stability and security.
- Provide technical support to end-users and assist in resolving hardware and software issues.
- Maintain documentation related to system administration tasks and processes.
- Assist with backup to tape decommissioning activities.
- Perform decommissioning activities for end of support virtual servers
- Perform Daily monitoring administrative tasks
- Assist with Active Directory administrative tasks
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and other network services and protocols
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Server operating systems
- Familiarity with GPO and basic security concepts
- Experience with virtualization technologies and public clouds (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, AWS) is a plus
- Scripting abilities: PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Ansible
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously

**Work Environment**:

- Monday to Friday; Day shift
- 37.5 hours per week
