Responsibilities:
- Direct traffic and ensure the safe and efficient flow of vehicles
- Set up and remove traffic control devices such as cones, barricades, and signs
- Communicate with drivers, pedestrians, and other workers to provide clear instructions
- Monitor traffic conditions and adjust traffic control measures as needed
- Report any incidents or hazards to supervisors or law enforcement
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Traffic Controller or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and safety procedures
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as trucks, forklifts, or cranes
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and work in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
