Hydrovac Operator

**HYDROVAC TRUCK OPERATOR - UNIONIZED - LOCAL APPLICANTS ONLY -**

At Powerline Plus Ltd. We focus on three main operations, Electrical, Civil Construction and Engineering & Design. Powerline Plus Ltd. provides quality solutions to public utilities, municipalities and developers, as well as to industrial, national and international manufacturing companies across the GTA.

The Vac Truck Drivers at Powerline Plus Ltd. are responsible for operating vac trucks at various locations throughout the GTA. Vac Truck Drivers participate actively and maintain ongoing relations with Civil Foremen, Civil Supervisors, Civil Project Coordinators and the Civil Construction Manager.

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- A minimum of three years experience as a vac truck driver
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License class AZ or DZ license with clean abstract
- Ability to operate a manual transmission
- Physically capable of meeting the job requirements; ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds or more, standing for extended periods, sitting for extended periods, kneeling, squatting etc.

Must be able to work outdoors in adverse conditions such as: heat exposure, cold temperatures, rain, snow etc.

**DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Vac Operator role includes but not limited to the following duties**:

- Operate and drive vac trucks to various job sites throughout the GTA
- Maintain constant communication with Civil Foremen and Civil Supervisors to ensure timely arrivals to various job sites
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections
- Oversee all aspects of the vehicle including but not limited to: observing and reporting any necessary maintenance and servicing, monitor the condition of equipment and reporting any incidents

**Salary**: $38.00 per hour
