We offer opportunities for growth, creativity, and innovation within a collaborative environment. **What You'll Do**: - Lead and mentor a dynamic news team, inspiring excellence and innovation. - Develop and oversee editorial schedules, including regular air-checks and one-on-one coaching. - Collaborate closely with the Senior News Director for B.C. to ensure newscasts and digital stories meet journalism standards. - Guide reporters in generating compelling local stories and effectively localizing national/international content. - Anchor and edit news, sports, and weather segments as needed. - Leverage social media strategically to expand audience reach and enhance community engagement. - Represent Vista Radio positively at community and station events, strengthening our local presence. **What We're Looking For**: - Minimum of five years full-time newsroom experience; previous management experience highly desirable. - Exceptional communication skills. - Strong on-air presence with professional delivery. - Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Premiere, KLZ Newsroom, Airtable, and WordPress is an asset. - A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, independently and collaboratively. - Valid driver's license.
