**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide patient care by monitoring vital signs and observing changes in health status.
- Support clients with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Assist with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts for heavier lifting requirements.
- Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals to meet individual client needs.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage in meaningful activities to enhance the quality of life for clients, including memory care for those with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients while fostering a positive environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in home & community care, group homes, or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required.
- **Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses**:

- CPR Certificate
- Nursing Aide Certificate
- Health Care Aide Certificate
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and vital signs assessment is essential.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including Alzheimer’s care and dementia care, is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with diverse populations are necessary.
- Must demonstrate compassion, patience, and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed while maintaining safety protocols.
- Familiarity with caregiving practices, social work principles, and direct support roles will be advantageous.
