respondingThe Tamahaac Club food and beverage operation is looking for a talented lead server to assist the Events and Catering manager (EM) with the day-to-day operations.

This position will be a senior role while on the service floor and will be flexible in hours based on the volume of business, this position is a hand
- on/operation position.

While either the Events and Catering manager (EM) or Membership and Events Coordinator (MEC) is on vacation, light office duties may be required, including but not limited to answering the phone to make dining room reservations and respond to event enquiries. Additionally, this individual may be required to assist in light housekeeping duties when required.

This position reports to the EM

Roles and Responsibilities of the position
- Maintaining Tamahaac service standards as indicated by the EM
- Set up the dining room / event with equipment (tables/chairs/AV, etc.) based on the event details
- Oversee the final set up before guest arrival as per Tamahaac standards
- Delegating and Working with Front of House (FOH) to ensure events mise-end-place is completed on time and to Tamahaac standards
- Directing and working with staff on closing procedures
- Managing service levels at the end of the evening
- Liasson with the EM during the meal periods
- Liasson with the Chef and Sous Chef to ensure that the function details are being adhered to and any alterations are being communicated to the FOH and EM
- Liasson with the kitchen to update the kitchen on the timing of the events and provide details to the kitchen that are relevant to the success of the event
- When requested, ensue that the Dish Machine Operator (DMO) is working efficiently and during downtime is assisting other staff
- Resolving staffing issues during service and reporting to the EM for follow up
- Resolving guest concerns ensuring that the guests and Tamahaac reputation is kept in tact
- Close down the events, including arming and locking the Clubhouse
- Any other duties as so directed by the EM

**Salary**: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ancaster, ON L9G 3K9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- serving: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Smart Serve (preferred)
