**Locations**: Cambridge Bay, Churchill, Iqaluit, Igloolik, Ottawa, Rankin Inlet, Thompson, Winnipeg, and Yellowknife
**Job Summary**:
The aircraft groomer is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and presentability of aircraft. They will ensure all aspects of aircraft cleaning are met according to specific company and contract policies and procedures. This role is crucial for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety required by Air Ambulance service providers.
**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
- Must be able to acquire a Restricted Area pass issued by Transport Canada
- Must be able to obtain an AVOP- airside vehicle operator permit
- Must have a current driver’s license with no restrictions.
- At least one year of previous experience in aircraft grooming preferred
- Current Criminal Record Check
- Indigenous Awareness and/or Cultural Diversity training considered an asset

**Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Complete tasks as outlined in the cleaning tasks checklist
- Follow prescribed aircraft cleaning & disinfecting procedures
- Ensure economical use of cleaning products and supplies.
- Ensure proper staging of cleaning products, supplies and necessary equipment ahead of aircraft arrival
- Cleaning various parts of the aircraft using aviation-approved products and tools
- Washing and detailing the aircraft exterior

**Working Conditions**:

- Shift Work: 12 hrs. shift Day/Evening; 1 weeks on / 1 weeks off
- Work in Hangars including Airport Ramp that may require working directly on the tarmac, which can be exposed to various weather conditions.
- The work environment can be noisy due to aircraft engines and other machinery.
- Physical activities including, but not limited to lifting, sitting, standing, climbing and must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Physical demands include exposure and handling of hazardous materials such as fuels, oils, and chemicals, necessitating proper safety gear and procedures
