**Job Summary**
We are seeking a dedicated Cafe Assistant to join our team. The Cafe Assistant will support the daily operations of our cafe, ensuring excellent customer service and a smooth dining experience. This is an all around position for hospitality experienced individual(s).

**Duties**:

- Perform cashiering duties, including handling cash transactions and operating POS systems
- Provide exceptional food service to customers, table service required
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the cafe
- Upsell menu items to customers
- Help in restocking supplies and inventory management

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in cashiering and cash handling
- Knowledge of POS systems
- Experience in food service industry
- Understanding of food safety regulations, valid food safety certification, and valid Smartserve certification
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitize work areas
- Willingness to assist in various tasks as needed
- Upselling skills to promote menu items effectively
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting is a plus, minimum 3 years

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $16.55-$18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 40 per week

**Experience**:

- Food safety: 2 years (required)
- Serving: 2 years (required)
- Customer service: 2 years (required)
- Restaurant experience: 2 years (required)
- catering: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Smart Serve (preferred)
- Food Safety Certification (required)
