This is an excellent role in in which to develop a career in Project Management, working with a dynamic team to gain hands-on experience working across a variety of exciting projects at some of the most significant and fascinating heritage sites in England. We have the necessary professional construction expertise to develop and deliver conservation maintenance and enhancement projects to the highest standards and in accordance with established technical policy, industry standards and specialist guidance.
The Estates Department is a group of construction and landscape professionals,
specialising in the care, repair and conservation of buildings, gardens and landscapes. Within this sits the National Project Team. Its primary purpose is to deliver a project management service for a programme of conservation repair or capital investment projects on the English Heritage historic Estate.
A Project Co-Ordinator will contribute to the success of the cross-departmental English Heritage Project Management team which is led by the Head of National Projects. This team supports the delivery of the Capital Investment Programme (CIP) and the Conservation Maintenance Programme (CMP) and other programmes, such as Sustainability and Master planning, to further English Heritage's strategic aims of
Inspiration, Involvement, Financial Sustainability and Conservation.
You will be working in the York, London, Bristol or Swindon offices as well as home
working. Travel to English Heritage historic sites is required as necessary, so a full driving license is advantageous (rental car/public transport provided). Occasional overnight stays away from home may also be required.
