**Job description**

**Customer Service Responsibilities**:
Greeting all Customers with a warm and friendly attitude.

Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers always.

Ensuring each Customer receives friendly, accurate and professional service.

Assisting customers with information, refunds, exchanges, and directions

Operating a cash register, accepting all forms of Customer payment, correctly counting back change

Acknowledging and resolving customer complaints.

Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.

Assisting Customers in finding merchandise in the store.

Remaining knowledgeable regarding all areas of the store.

Adhering to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates, including identifying and removing merchandise that is distressed or unacceptable in appearance.

Keeping records relating to deliveries, inventory, and production levels - including stockroom organizational and cleaning, as necessary.

Taking client information and ensuring that deliveries are fulfilled accurately and on time.

**Additional** **Requirements**:

- Safe Driving Record (photo of driver's license is required if hired)
- High School Diploma/GED preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Working knowledge of produce/meat/grocery/dairy/frozen foods and operation of checkouts.
- Quality, hygiene, safety, and food preparation.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of the job such as lifting and carrying heavy items, climbing ladders, squatting, and standing for long periods of time.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-40 per week

**Salary**: $14.00-$16.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Pitchfork Market + Kitchen requires all employees to provide proof of vaccination or a negative weekly COVID test. We are practicing Social Distancing, Mandatory mask use, Hand sanitization, Physical barriers, detail sanitizing, and staff screening daily.

**Experience**:

- customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Delivery driver: 1 year (preferred)
