Dark Woods Brewing and Coffee Roasting is looking to add a cook to our kitchen team. Dark Woods is a local Brewery with a very warming taproom that offers great food alongside our in house roasted coffee. We serve a variety of dishes, focusing on locally sourced ingredients and making everything we serve in house. As well as producing all of our baked goods in house.
Duties will includes
- Prepping out the components of the menu before and during service
- Assisting fellow cooks in the kitchen as needed
- Come into work with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Cook menu consistently and to the highest standard
- Cleaning of ones station and dishes
- Closing the kitchen
- Occasional assistance with our Brewery production
Our ideal applicant will have the ability to multitask and maintain calm during high stress services. As well as have passion for the food they are producing and the willingness to learn new techniques.
Hours will vary and include mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Cooks will be expected too:
- Treat others with the utmost respect, in and out of the kitchen
- Follow Food Safe protocol and maintain pristine kitchen cleanliness
- Ensure proper labelling, dating, and storage of all food products
**Salary**: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
