**PROFILE**: Responsible for packaging food according to Quality & HACCP standards, and according to Company policy.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Standing for the full length of shift
- Punch your time card in.
- Check schedule to find out what machine you are working on for that day.
- Work at the line assigned to you. Assignment is the QC Supervisor’s responsibility. This is not negotiable.
- Lifting up to 25 lbs (individually or with the buddy system)
- Repetitive bending
- Repetitive work functions
- Attention to detail regarding product quality: must be aware of any non-conforming product that may pass your station. Pay attention to product that is being packaged.
- Packing, Boxing, Assembling
- Checking weights of pouches, displays, shippers, etc. every 5 - 10 minutes
- Product separation for rejects
- Ensuring the quality and consistency of code dates every 5 - 10 minutes
- Stamping / Stickers on boxes
- Complete & sign paperwork on time
- Tidying up & keeping work area tidy
- Pack shippers with products that come off of the line.
- All displays to be packed same way in shipper & also packed facing display shipper.
- Perform job correctly and safely at each station or position.
- When working on a line that display or bags need to be weighed, all bags or displays must be weighed.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully to all Rex Pak Employees & Visitors.
- Follow advice & guidance of the Lead Hand at the line.
- Follow advice & guidance from the Quality Control Manager / Supervisor & HACCP Coordinator to the packaging and cleaning jobs.
- Clean the line & Production area. Clean up rejects. Sweep floor.
- Report anything out of the ordinary to the Lead Hand. This includes quality of products, employee issues or safety concerns.
- If there is a problem, speak to the Lead Hand. If you don’t feel it is corrected, see your Supervisor.
- Participate in training as necessary.
- Complete performance improvement plans as necessary.
- Ensure work area is kept neat and organized.
- Perform other duties as required.

**HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Perform regular formal or informal workplace inspections for the Production & Quality department as directed by their supervisor.
- Report all accidents and / or incidents and unsafe conditions and / or behavior to their supervisor and / or to Human Resources immediately.
- Ensure all safety and non-safety rules and regulations are followed. Enforce safety rules and correct unsafe acts or conditions.
- Ensure adherence to established quality and housekeeping standards.
- Adhere to Rex Pak’s health and safety, environmental, and quality standards, operating procedures, and policies.
- Respond immediately to items brought to his / her attention with respect to hazards, defects or non-compliance issues.
- Understand and uphold the policies that prohibit workplace violence and harassment.
- In addition to the above, the duties include those specified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

**QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS**:

- Ability to stand in the Production area & at the line for the duration of the shift.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely.
- Dependability with respect to their attendance record.
- Ability to work well with other Employees.
- Ability to follow Company policy (ie. Employee Policy Handbook and Production & Plant Standards).

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Works in a manufacturing / dry food blending & packaging / production environment in typical warehouse and plant conditions. Typical conditions are such that minor risk of any injury or harmful effect are present but unlikely.
