Operations Manager Position

**Position Summary**:
As the point of reference of both workers and supervisors, you will be a key person for the completion of a project.

A operations manager has a solid background in the field. Your leadership skills and your extensive experience have earned you the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions. You must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else. Being punctual, on time and very well organized is a must.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure contracts are completed to programme, client satisfaction is maintained and profit margins are met.
- Ensure that sales invoices are submitted accurately and in line with delivery costs and client deadlines.
- Assist with the production of their business plan along with the development of their specific operational plan.
- Responsible for the accurate build up and submission of tenders/quotations within their area of responsibility
- Ensuring that adequate pre-contract planning takes place so that contracts are delivered in line with profit requirements.
- Continually monitor contracts to ensure delivery in line with cost plans. This will be monitored through Service fusion and QBO
- Be present at both external clients and at internal management meetings.
- Liaising with the human resources department, direct involvement in any disciplinary or redundancy process to ensure that the company procedures are being met and adhered to.
- Reports every week on P&L, A/R & A/P etc..

**Other Responsibilities**:

- Planning and controlling change
- Managing quality assurance programmes.
- Researching new technologies and alternative methods of efficiency.
- Setting and reviewing budgets and managing costs.
- Overseeing inventory, distribution of goods and facility layout.
- Requests, reports, projections and monthly valuations are accurate and submitted on time to meet deadlines and that performance is reported accurately.
- Get field workers jobs ready for the next day to maintain accurate time for the field workers to get out in the mornings

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as glazier is an asset not required
- Proven management experience
- Construction experience
- In-depth knowledge of construction/glazing procedures, equipment and OSH guidelines
- Understanding of all tasks, duties and responsibilities in working with other trades and specifically with client site representative(s).
- Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills (this is a must)
- Ability to communicate and report effectively
- Aptitude in math
- Problem-solving abilities
- Good physical condition and stamina
- High school diploma or diploma in a skilled trade
- Understand how to do Glazing, Window, Door, Maintenance, Glass cutting and parts for all.
- Very organized and can handle paperwork
- Good computer and technology skills
- Safety tickets
- Reliable

Pay: $73,032.44-$120,637.00 per year
