CNC Machinist

Work with the R&D team to plan and produce prototypes. As a member of the R&D Team, the CNC Machinist is responsible for the operation of the Mill/Turn, CNC Lathes and 3 to 5 axis CNC Mills. The Machinist ensures the accuracy and consistency of the parts they are manufacturing, confirms machined parts are compatible to mating parts, and completes setups when needed. The Machinist is responsible for the cleanliness of their individual work station while also working together as a team to maintain a positive and collaborative working environment. **Key Accountabilities** " Attentive operation of Mill/Turn, CNC Lathes and 3 to 5 axis CNC Mills " Accurate set up and set down of various jobs " Ability to program jobs when needed " Produce precise and consistent parts " Responsible for debugging code, set-up, operate and general maintains " Compute dimensions and tolerances, measure and lay out work pieces. " Read and interpret drawings and models, to program and machine prototypes. " Actively participate in the maintenance of a clean working environment " Responsible for detailed completion of all required paperwork " Maintain adequate insert stock on commonly used inserts " Maintain a positive work ethic, supporting other members of the manufacturing team when possible **Requirements**: " Must be a team player with excellent people skills " Must be available to work a variety of shifts " Red Seal trade certificate " Self-motivated, responsible, well organized and reliable " Experience with Feature CAM or Gibbs CAM software an asset " Minimum 5 years CNC machining experience " Strong programming skills " Strong understanding of twin spindle twin turret lathes and/or 3 to 5 axis mills " Geometric dimensioning, tolerance and advanced computer skills **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $40.00-$45.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Company events - Dental care - Discounted or free food - Extended health care - On-site parking - RRSP match - Vision care Schedule: - 8 hour shift
