Animal Caretaker

**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
- Maintain clean and safe living environments for all animals.
- Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff.
- Assist with animal restraint during examinations and procedures.
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the veterinary team.
- Support front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and managing client communications.
- Utilize veterinary terminology effectively in communication with staff and clients.
- Participate in animal husbandry practices to promote overall health and well-being.
- Assist in laboratory tasks as needed, including sample collection and processing.

**Skills**
- Previous kennel experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of animal husbandry practices.
- Experience as a veterinary technician or in veterinary critical care is a plus.
- Familiarity with animal handling techniques, including dog handling and animal restraint.
- Ability to administer medications accurately and safely.
- Proficiency in veterinary terminology to facilitate effective communication within the team.
- Knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and catheterization techniques is advantageous.
- Experience in a veterinary clinic or as a veterinary assistant is highly valued.

Pay: $3,000.00-$3,500.00 per month
