Flooring Installer

Voll’s Contract Flooring has been a leader in Commercial and Industrial Flooring for over 40 years and is seeking a full-time flooring installer (apprentice) to join our expanding team. We are located in beautiful Elmira and typically service south-western Ontario.

**Position Overview**:We are looking to expand our team with another full-time flooring installer. This position has the potential to move into a long-term fulfilling career with benefits and advancement opportunities. Hours are typically Monday-Friday with occasional weekends depending on the current job site. We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and exceptional workmanship. Knowledge of tile, vinyl plank and sheet vinyl is an asset but not required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Measure cut and install various types of flooring, including vinyl, laminate, tile and plank
- Accurately read and follow work order instructions
- Possess a working knowledge of flooring materials and equipment
- Other duties as instructed by manager
- Regular, full-time predictable onsite attendance as per scheduled working hours is essential

**Qualifications**:

- 1+ years of flooring installation experience or a desire to learn
- Strong history of demonstrating problem solving, communication and organizational skills
- Team player
**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Bend, twist, stoop, kneel, sit, crawl, push and pull
- Able to reach in all directions
- Walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Other physical requirements as needed for job.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
