**_Prep Cook_**

Reporting to the Sous Chef, the primary role of the Prep Cook is to efficiently run all aspects of a specific work station of the kitchen and provide an excellent, quality product to the customer.

**_Duties/Responsibilities_**

The duties and responsibilities of each Prep Cook include, but are not limited to:

- Run the designated work station as assigned by the Sous Chefs (or Head Chef).
- Ability to efficiently organize the assigned station and food preparation activities;
- Set up of station with par stocks of menu items
- Preparation of ingredients, portioning, chopping, butchering
- Ensure all food products are stored properly
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment required for food preparation
- Ability to produce quality food product in a timely and efficient manner
- Compliance to the recipe, portion size, quality standards, presentation standards and other specifications, as applicable.
- Minimize waste and maintain food cost control
- Compliance with all sanitation standards and regulations at the assigned station, including food handling and kitchen equipment
- Inspect and disinfect food preparation areas, tools, knives and other equipment to ensure safe and sanitary food handling practices
- Communicate any assistance needed during busy periods and report any incidents to the Sous Chef to ensure optimum service to guests.
- Assist other Kitchen staff members when needed.
- Assist with receiving inventory
- Assists with checking of quality and quantity of incoming produce and supplies and ensuring goods are relocated to storage and cooler areas Assisting with training of other Kitchen staff members
- Comply with all relevant policies and procedures over hiring/termination. Comply with all levels of government mandated Health and Safety Regulations as well as internal policies and procedures of the Club, as in effect at the time.
- Obtain and maintain all the necessary training certificates and courses etc. that are required by all levels of government and/or internally by the Club (ie. Food handling, WMIS) for the position.
- All other duties as assigned

**Job Types**: Part-time, Full-time
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Oldcastle, ON N0R 1L0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
