Sprung Studios is seeking an **Associate User Researcher** to join our UX Research team in Vancouver, BC
Working alongside the rest of the UXR team, the Associate User Researcher will be responsible for moderating usability tests and producing reports, designing low-fidelity wireframe solutions, and assessing early game concepts & prototypes for usability issues.
**Responsibilities**
- Review concept designs, the game builds, and competitor titles for usability, comprehension, and accessibility
- Interview participants in the lab
- Observation note-taking during lab tests
- Produce high-quality reports and presentations (Figma)
- Design low-fidelity wireframe solutions (Figma)
- Troubleshoot audiovisual lab hardware and software (Windows / OBS)
- Take part in participant recruitment
- Assist lead researchers on projects, such as thematic analysis (Excel/Sheets)
**What you’ll bring**
- A Bachelor in a relevant field such as Psychology, Cognitive Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Studies, or Computer Science
- 1-year experience in a lab setting or equivalent experience
- A keen interest in working with people
- Strong knowledge of user research methods, particularly qualitative
- A broad interest in games, up to date with trends across all platforms
- Exceptional communication skills, verbally and in writing
- Strong organizational skills - a passion for process is a plus
**Nice to Have**
- Games user research experience
- Experience with mixed methods studies
- Wireframing experience
- Experience with data management and survey studies

This role is permanent, full-time.
We are working with a hybrid model. Mondays and Fridays are an option to work from home, with everyone in the Studio on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
**This is not a remote position.**
