Caregivers are needed for day and evening shifts, in the home of my mom, who has limited mobility, and uses a walker and a wheelchair. She requires assistance with personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping. Supporting and encouraging mom in exercising is a priority as she is preparing for knee surgery, and experience in this area is an asset. Because mom experiences chronic pain, experience with massage and pain management would be an asset.

We are looking for someone who pays attention to detail, and is a self-starter and hard worker. Excellent housekeeping skills are required and an ability to prepare nutritious and tasty meals.

Mom is very independent and likes to do as much for herself as she can. Fluent English is required, and strong communication skills are an asset for this position, as well as flexibility.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide assistance in daily living activities, including administering medications.
- Meal preparation.
- Housekeeping and laundry.
- Assist with exercise.
- Assist with physical, social and emotional needs and provide companionship.
- Support mom in achieving her goals and objectives.
- Ensure safety.

**Job Types**: Part-time or Full-time

Part-time hours: 20-40 hours per week

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field preferred
- Knowledge of senior care
- Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
- Reliable transportation to travel to client's home

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
