**Job Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including nursing homes, hospice care, and home care environments. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring a clean and safe environment for those you assist. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about caregiving and have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals in need.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in patient living areas to ensure a safe and comfortable atmosphere.
- Document patient care activities accurately and report any changes in health status to nursing staff.
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care tailored to individual needs.
- Support hospice care initiatives by providing compassionate end-of-life care when necessary.
- Taking blood pressure, temperature and pulse and blood glucose at regular intervals
- Communicating patient health status back to pharmacy
- Communicating patient medication needs and requests back to pharmacy

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in patient care, senior care, or caregiving is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with medication administration practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
- A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to maintain a clean working environment while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Certification as a Health Care Aide or similar qualification is desirable but not mandatory.

Pay: From $27.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Caregiving: 1 year (required)
- Patient care: 1 year (required)
- Home care: 1 year (preferred)
- Medical Administration: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Driving Licence (required)
