We are presently searching for our next great team member as a Terrain Park Ranger to join our Alpine Operations team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you.
**Responsibilities include: (but not limited to)**
- Compliance with all Manning Park policies and procedures as outlined in employee handbook
- Maintenance of all fencing, signs, feature markers, entranceway
- Feature Maintenance: raking, shoveling, salting, and closing
- Feature Inspection: physical and visual inspection
- Record keeping and maintenance documentation
- Guest relations and mountain host for the terrain parks
- Assisting with all events
- Works with the groomers on jump design, park layout, snow-cross design
- Keeping terrain park and facilities clean of debris and garbage
- Assist Patrol with accident procedure and investigation qualifications
- Assisting the Lift Operation team daily for lunch cover and when required
- Other tasks as required
**Job Re**quirements / Qualifications**:
- Safety oriented working attitude and a professional manner
- Excellent communication and guest services skills
- Ability to be a supportive team member
- Able to follow direction and work unsupervised
- Proficient skiing/snowboarding skills with an understanding of Freestyle technique
- Ski or Snowboard Park 1 instructor considered an asset
- An understanding of Freestyle feature design
- Experience with Events would be an asset
- First aid certificates considered an asset.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
- In excellent physical condition
This is a Seasonal Position so you must be able to commit to the role for the full Winter Season (November-April). As a seasonal team member you may be presented with opportunities to cross train and support in other departments to meet seasonal demands.
