**About this role**

We are recruiting for a Team Lead, Accounts Receivables to join our Burnaby office. Here's how your role will strengthen our team.

The Team Lead, Accounts Receivables will oversee the day to day functioning of the accounts receivables team.

**Your responsibilities**
- Lead, support, plan, coordinate, and review the work of AR team as well as provide backfill support when necessary
- Drive continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of AR process and procedures, including designing and maintaining controls
- Collaborate with various internal teams to implement, communicate, and document new procedures
- Oversee invoicing for contract progress draws, inter-divisional billings, and payment recordings
- Monitor cash flow and collections, including assisting with collection follow-ups and escalating delinquent accounts
- Ensure that internal and external AR deadlines are met
- Manage month end reconciliations of general ledger and AR sub-ledgers, including credit card and bank reconciliations
- Monthly reporting and tracking of AR KPI's
- Train new hires on full scope of their role and provide continued coaching as needed
- Provide recommendations to the Director, Finance regarding staff issues, performance, and assist with yearly goal setting

**Your experience and skills**
- High School diploma
- 2+ years of experience in accounts receivables
- 2 years of experience leading a team
- Strong Proficiency using MS Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge of JDE or similar software system
- Formal accounting training and knowledge and full understanding of basic accounting principles
- Solid knowledge of the principles and practices of financial record keeping as it relates to AR
- Highly organized work habits with ability to analyze, evaluate and problem-solve
- Effective communicator with individuals at all levels within the company

**Salary range**: $60,000 - $70,000 per year** plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will be commensurate with experience, skills and overall match to the position offered. Let's chat throughout the hiring process and determine the best fit.
