We are seeking a dynamic and outgoing person to take on the

At SSi, headquartered in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, with a network operations centre in Ottawa, our mission is deeply rooted in enhancing the lives of those residing in northern and remote communities. With over 30 years of operating experience, we stand as pioneers in delivering cutting-edge satellite, broadband, mobile wireless, and clean energy and fire suppression solutions to remote and outlying regions. Simply put, we are dedicated to designing, constructing, and managing advanced telecommunications networks and sustainable energy solutions that uplift communities.

**Responsibilities**:
Recruitment and Hiring:

- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and ensure timely hiring.

Onboarding and Training:

- Oversee onboarding programs to integrate new employees seamlessly into the organization.
- Coordinate job-specific training sessions for new hires and existing employees.

Employee Engagement and Well-being:

- Lead initiatives to promote employee engagement and well-being, including wellness programs, team-building activities, and recognition programs.
- Act as a liaison between employees and management to address concerns and foster a positive work environment.
- Implement and oversee performance management solutions to evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and set goals for progression.

Office Support:

- Provide administrative support oversight and direction to ensure the office runs efficiently, and convivial interaction with visitors and employees.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5+ years of progressive experience in the recruitment and management of people, and the stewardship of a strong corporate culture. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport at all levels of an organization.
- Proven leadership experience with the desire and ability to lead a team.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent English language skills, both oral and written.

NICE TO HAVE
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, ITIL, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+
- Familiarity with various satellite telecom technologies and hardware.
