**Carried Away Moving is a small, well-loved, professional moving company based out of Scarborough, Ontario. We presently serve the GTA, along with some day-trip moving work to other towns and cities, including beautiful cottage country If you’re lucky you could even get out on Georgian Bay come the summer months The current industry demand has us needing to expand our team and the number of trucks we have on the road.**

**Title: Mover/Driver**

**Purpose: To assist the Lead/Foreman and work collaboratively with the crew to complete professional, efficient moves following company practices, procedures, and standards.**

**Required Qualifications**:

- **Valid Ontario Drivers’ License - Class G (essential requirement)**:

- **Clean Drivers’ Abstract**:

- **Clean Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Check**:

- **Secondary School Diploma**

**All Applicants Must**:

- **Have reliable transportation, acceptable by TTC- Warden Station**:

- **Be athletic, enthusiastic, and punctual**:

- **Be able to bend, squat, climb stairs, lift heavy items (50lbs+) and stand for extended periods of time.**:

- **Have a can-do, customer service focused attitude**:

- **Be well mannered, courteous, and eager to help**:

- **Maintain healthy habits/lifestyle in keeping with the nature of the job**

**Useful Skills/Experience**:

- **Driving and Parking/Docking trucks**:

- **Navigating Toronto neighborhoods**:

- **Disassembly and assembly of furniture**:

- **Ability to lift and move all types of furniture**:

- **Packing fragile dishes/electronics**:

**Role/Responsibilities**:

- **Arrive on time to the warehouse and/or job site prepared to work**:

- **Report wearing clean, company uniform and appropriate footwear
- must maintain a professional appearance**:

- **Be attentive to the details, needs, and expectations for each move**:

- **Prepare truck with required supplies: blankets, dollies, panel carts, boxes, etc., as needed/directed by the job lead**:

- **If assigned to drive the truck, check lights and fuel level. Ensure tools, equipment, and packing material are loaded before departure (to and from client location)**:

- **Politely interact with the client — direct client to the job lead for answers to all questions**:

- **Be attentive during the walk-through with the client and fellow crew and when the job lead gives out tasks/instructions. When unclear about the work, ask questions.**:

- **Speak professionally and be attentive to who is present/nearby during a conversation**:

- **Bring any prior damage to the job lead’s attention before handling and wrapping the item**:

- **Prep furniture and fragile items by covering them with moving pads**:

- **Follow the job lead’s instructions for bringing items out for truck loading. Assist with loading as directed**:

- **Remove all debris, supplies, and equipment from the truck on a daily basis as needed**:

- **Unload as directed. Move items to the assigned areas/rooms as requested by the job lead and/or client**:

- **Ensure furniture is reassembled per the client’s request**:

- **Unload to storage units/warehouse, when applicable—store as directed.**:

- **Clean up truck and remove trash at end of every day**:

- **Report supply shortages, missing and damaged equipment**

**Hours**:

**Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour**

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
