Hamilton, Canada Academy of Learning Career College - Hamilton Campus Full time

Academy of Learning Career College is responsible for providing a welcoming environment in which adult learners may engage in independent learning activities. It’s like taking an online course, but while having access to one-on-one support from a Learning Coach.

**Responsibilities**
- Providing guidance to adult learners as they progress through self-directed courses
- Becoming familiar with the courses yourself - you are not an instructor, but you must gain an understanding of course content in order to assist learners through the content
- Performing administrative duties, such as ordering materials, entering student data, generating reports, welcoming visitors, answering telephones, corresponding with various parties, monitoring student attendance, and handling student records
- Creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere for learners
- Proctoring exams
- Coaching adult learners on exam preparation and good study habits
- Preparing soon-to-be graduates for the realities of re-entering the workforce once they complete their studies

**Qualifications**
- A University Degree or College Diploma from a recognized Canadian institution (international qualifications may be considered equivalent)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Willingness to learn new things
- Passion for education

**The following qualifications will be considered an asset**:

- Experience working with adults in an educational environment
- Experience working in a Private Career College or other education environment, preferably as a teaching assistant or facilitator

**Salary**: $15.50-$20.00 per hour

- Hamilton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
