As Warehouse Worker, you are responsible for supporting the warehouse operations, which receives and stores, moves and ships products to and from the warehouse. You will be accountable to load, unload, move and store products in an efficient and safe manner. Sort and dispose/ recycle of food waste products daily. In this role you will follow the warehouse layout, health & safety programs, and sanitation requirements.
- While adhering to policies and procedures as well as regulatory compliance, load, unload, move, store, and pick products according to purchase orders on behalf of customers.
- Execute warehouse standards, with a focus on accuracy, to achieve maximum productivity.
- Operate powered equipment and other machinery as required in loading, unloading, movement and storage of products.
- Safely operate forklifts to unload incoming food waste materials.
- Sort and divert food waste into appropriate recycling or disposal streams
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the unloading and sorting areas.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Accurately track and document incoming loads and diversion metrics.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
- Check the accuracy of materials loaded or unloaded against information contained in work orders.
- Perform product repacking activities.
- Advise Supervisor of any issues that impact the productivity schedule and/or quality of the operation, as well as the health and safety of the employees.
- Follow security, sanitation and general upkeep standards of warehouse.

Qualifications include:

- Minimum 1 year warehouse experience
- High school diploma or equivalent would be an asset but not mandatory
- Must have steel-toed work boots
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required
- Valid forklift certification with proven operating experience.
- Experience in waste management, recycling, or warehouse operations is an asset.
- Ability to work in environments with strong odors and varied temperatures.
- Comfortable handling organic materials and working in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Position works in a warehouse environment. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, lifting, and power equipment operation. Due to the nature of our business you may be required to work on nights, weekends and holidays.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
