Optometrist

We are looking for additions to our optometrists.
Expect to generate in the range of $1000 to $1500 on Weekends (full day).
Expect to generate in the range of +/-$500 on Evenings from 4 to 8pm (Evening only) are more for longer days.
Our eye-care has many senior patients through referrals from hospitals (after care) or family doctors (for surgical assessment).
Our technical staff and optometrists will help with diagnosis and referrals. Please call today and be a part of our patient care.
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform tests to diagnose vision problems.
- Work with patients who have eye problems such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
- Order and interpret tests to check the health of the eyes.
- Work with contact lens wearers, prescription changes, and ocular health.
- Assess the visual needs of people of all ages.
**Requirements**:
- Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited optometry school.
- Optometrist must be registered with the Ontario College of Optometrists.
- Strong knowledge of optical principles, procedures, and equipment.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to optometry.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional patient care.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience in sales or recommending optical products is a plus.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $500.00-$1,500.00 per day
Expected hours: 8 - 12 per week
