**Overview**

**Duties**
- Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Collaborate with dispatchers and warehouse staff to coordinate schedules and routes effectively.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on vehicles as needed, including minor automotive repairs.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading freight.

**Skills**
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license and appropriate endorsements.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred, including the ability to operate forklifts safely.
- Knowledge of basic automotive repair techniques is a plus, allowing for minor repairs on the road when necessary.
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and best practices for safe transportation.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, and dispatchers.
- Ability to work independently while managing time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding safety protocols and vehicle maintenance checks.
