Work schedule is **Monday - Friday, 6:30AM to 3:30PM**, with occasional overtime (no nights).
**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
As part of our Warehouse Team, the QC Inspectors perform comprehensive review of visual quality and quantity, packing, marking and with more of a commercial approach than a technical approach, of finished goods and different types of merchandise; identifying and reporting variances and notifying the appropriate personnel for suitable corrective action plan.
**SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES INCLUDE**:
- Inspect 5% to 10% of all incoming merchandise.
- Prioritize quality control checks in order of rush importance.
- Inspect items for accuracy, including but not limited to, item labeling, item details (e.g., color, style), box quantity, and physical dimensions. Report any discrepancies.
- Perform rework on orders as required.
- Log items as completed.
- Complies with Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act and Giftcraft’s Internal Health & Safety Policy by following standards, rules, and procedures. Reporting potential hazards and unsafe work conditions.
- Performs other duties and special projects as required.
**WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING**:
- One (1) year experience in a Warehouse Environment.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety and WHMIS.
- Physical requirements include the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, frequently reach with hands and arms, twist, bend frequently, stoop, squat, lift and carry up to 50 lbs (23 kg) on a continual basis.
- Must be available to work flexible hours and shifts in order to meet changing business demands.
- Computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Office is required.
- Excellent organizational, decision making and communication skills (both verbal and written in the English language) and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
- Must be able to work in a team, following a continuous improvement culture to meet the company’s objectives.
