As one of our critical Machine Operators you will complete a variety of tasks to achieve inspiring spaces for our great customers. You are a team player and can also work independently. This role is critical in exceeding on our projects, so you bring your values on daily work ethic and commitment to all facets of the job.

Custom Woodwork
Maintenance
Civil Landscaping (vehicular paving, storm-water management systems, offsite tree and shrub planting and boulevards)

**Responsibilities**
- Daily ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow TGE standards of work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment, assisting where needed on projects to ensure successful delivery
- Perform daily equipment inspections, reports on equipment before use to ensure compliance to safe work practice and assist others that are trained in the equipment use
- Understand and learn how to effectively run and monitor multiple pieces of equipment in use by others during projects to ensure quality production and mínimal unplanned stops
- Good collaboration skills, as there will be times you work directly with site supervisors to ensure the site is effectively ready [ prep tasks completed for crews to start as soon as they arrive on site]
- Learn to effectively communicate with customers.
- Effectively communicate and provide good internal customer service with TGE team members, and others as instructed to ensure effective and safe continuous workflow at high performing levels while on site
- Support the Sr. Machine Operator in ensuring updated SOP’s [standard operating procedures] for the machine operations and any processes
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment and other tools used in the work
- Assist with general duties when needed, to complete landscape construction projects
- Able to use tools provided if machine equipment is operating slowly
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including maintaining training records
- Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations
**Skills and competencies**
- Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision and as part of a team to assist in helping each project be successful
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing as needed to the site crews and customers
- Understanding and learning ability to read site drawings, interpreting, and measuring correctly
- Good work ethic and an eye for detail
- Understanding of heavy machine safety procedures
- Understanding of traffic laws, ordinances, and rules applicable to truck and heavy equipment operation
- Demonstrated ability to consistently follow and administer safe work practices to mitigate risk, including ability to safely multi-task when required
**Requirements**
- Valid Driver’s license and clean driving abstract
- Minimum 1 year successfully working in Landscape Construction
- Minimum 1 years of experience operating heavy machine equipment
- Understanding how to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specification
- Basic measurement and calculation skills
- Strong observation skills and a good attention to detail
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Computer skills an asset
**Compensation**
- $28.00 to $35.00 hourly
