Instructor for Portfolio Prep
The artist-educator leads this group of students between the ages of 14 - 17 in an 11-session program that is designed to help students prepare for their admission into an fine art/design school. Within Portfolio Prep, students will create new pieces of artwork to include in their portfolio, develop interview skills, receive guidance from the professional artist-educator and learn techniques for organizing and presenting portfolio pieces. Projects should allow students to experiment with different materials and techniques, as well as expand their knowledge and understanding of the art-making processes. All sessions are held in our beautiful lit studio. The instructor is responsible for the planning, designing and preparation of the art projects, instructing the class, and set-up and clean-up.
