**Job Summary**

- Starting Wage: $62,400 - $79,040
- Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the administration, and operation of Whistler Blackcomb’s geographic information system (GIS).
- Collect, prepare, and validate geographic and attribute data from multiple sources.
- Deliver GIS training and technical support to end-users.
- Maintain data integrity and accuracy.
- Verify the work of departmental GIS stewards for accuracy, proper data collection methods, techniques, and compliance with defined standards in data quality.
- Perform physical data capture with specialized GPS equipment.
- Fill map-related requests.
- Design and develop databases.
- Assist with in-field utility line locating.
- Utilize ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, or ArcGIS Online and QGIS.

**Job Qualifications**

**Required**:

- Bachelor’s Degree with major coursework in Geography, GIS Analysis, Information Sciences, or a related field.
- GIS certification.
- Detail-oriented and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of spatial information processing and automated mapping techniques.
- In-field data collection.
- Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Ability to use and process information in ArcGIS and QGIS.
- Proficiency in modern programming and scripting languages (Python, PL/SQL, HTML).
- Strong Cartographic Skills.

**Preferred**:

- Knowledge of existing utilities, infrastructure, and in-field assets.
- Utility line locating and experience with GPS equipment an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities and present information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all company departments, employees and management at all levels in the organization.
