**Summer Literacy and Numeracy Programs**
- (All programs are based on enrolment numbers to qualify for funding)
- The Near North District School Board is looking for instructors to be part of an exciting summer learning program for children who would benefit from additional assistance in developing and refining literacy and/or numeracy skills. This half-day program will be offered in all regions of the Board in an in-person delivery model.

**Location: Parry Sound Public School**

**Hours of work**:approximately 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (specific program start and end times to be determined)

**Qualifications**:

- Two-year Post Secondary Certificate or Diploma in the Social Services Field
- Primary or Junior Classroom Experience
- Valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate or enrollment in a B.Ed. program will be an asset.
- Primary or Junior/Intermediate Qualifications or equivalent will be an asset
- Additional Qualifications in Reading or Mathematics will be an asset.

**Knowledge/Skills Required**:

- Early Literacy/Mathematics experience and/or experience with the Power Learning Camp program will be an asset
- In depth knowledge of literacy (reading and writing) or mathematics processes, assessment and instruction will be an asset
- Demonstrated ability to offer high quality and engaging literacy, mathematics and/or summer camp programming
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with other adults
- Ability to provide culturally-responsive programming

**Rate of Pay**:$35.00 per hour (inclusive of 4% vacation and 4% statutory holiday pay)
